We’re beyond thrilled to announce one of our most meaningful projects yet — the #MoveMoreFab initiative!
Thanks to £15,000 of funding from Sport England, made possible by the National Lottery, we’ve launched weekly online dance workshops designed to support children affected by cancer — and their siblings too. These inclusive sessions are all about helping children move, reconnect, and find joy in being active in a way that feels safe, inclusive, and fun. 💛
⸻
Why Dance?
Going through or recovering from cancer treatment can make it tough to stay active. Dance offers a joyful, creative outlet that builds strength, confidence, and connection — helping children express themselves and regain confidence in their bodies. And because family moments matter, siblings are always welcome to join in too.
⸻
Weekly Sessions for Everyone
🕓 Every Wednesday | 4:30–5:30pm | Mostly Online
Each session is fully inclusive and most sessions are led by our fantastic dance teacher, with some very special guest workshops popping up throughout to add extra sparkle and fun.
⸻
Celebrity Guest Workshops
We’ve already had two amazing guest workshops with Hannah Lowther and Brooke & Jess, and they were a huge hit! The children enjoyed these sessions so much that they asked to redo the dance again the following week for their warm-up. Seeing their smiles, energy, and confidence grow each week has been nothing short of incredible.
And that’s just the start — with more exciting guests still to come!
⸻
More to Come
The funding supports regular coaching, facilities, equipment, and transport for sessions that aren’t online. We’ll finish the project with a special in-person celebration, sharing highlights online so no one misses out.
Our first session launched on Wednesday 8th October, and we couldn’t be prouder to see so many children dancing through it together week on week.
A huge thank you to Sport England and everyone who plays the National Lottery — your support makes projects like this possible.
Together, we’re helping children find strength, confidence, and connection — one dance step at a time. 💛
